A staff member enrolled in their final year of study towards a recognised ECE teaching qualification can be counted towards the 50% licensing requirement, but cannot be counted as ‘certificated’ for funding Staff Hour Count purposes.

 

There are two types of staff requirements.

 

1. Regulatory requirements
2. Funding requirements

 

Teachers in their final year study can be included to meet 50% regulatory requirements, however their time cannot be included on Staff hours count as qualified staff hours.
